CL-25 is a candle designed as an interior object. The extruded aluminium container gives it a clear, industrial expression, while the beeswax creates a warm and soft glow when lit, enhancing the ambiance of any room.

Cast from 210g of pure beeswax. Beeswax burns cleanly with minimal smoke or soot, releases fewer toxins than conventional candlelights, and has a subtle natural honey scent with no added scent. A pure, naturally scented candle.

The aluminium container is made to last. Once the candle has burned out, it can be refilled with a new candle, recycled, or reused for storing small everyday objects.

Other information

I wanted to create a candle that stands out, yet remains elegant and naturally fits into the home. The result is this aluminium shell filled with beeswax instead of paraffin.

I chose beeswax because it burns cleanly, produces almost no smoke or soot, and has a longer burn time than paraffin. It also carries a gentle scent of honey and is a natural, biodegradable material.

Once the wax has burned out, the aluminium container can be reused for storage. That way, it doesn’t just become another candle that loses its purpose. The shell stands strong on its own and is made from anodised aluminium, giving it a durable, matte surface with a soft, tactile feel. One of my favourites :)

The base plate is made from stainless steel, laser-engraved and mounted to the aluminium shell with four screws.

Benefits of Beeswax
